    Goat rearing
    Benefits
    Self-employment in goat rearing is being provided to the interested beneficiaries by providing them one unit of goat rearing (10 females and 1 male) for 10 to 14 months. Out of the total cost of the scheme of Rs. 70,000.00, 90 percent of the amount i.e. Rs. 63,000.00 is being borne by the State Government and 10 percent of the amount i.e. Rs. 7,000.00 is to be borne by the beneficiary.
    Eligibility/Who will be the beneficiaries
    Interested beneficiaries of SECC category of General, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
    Application process and selection process
    Interested beneficiaries will have to place a proposal in the open meeting of the Gram Sabha. After the proposal is passed, the beneficiary will give his proposal to the Veterinary Officer/Livestock Extension Officer / Gram Panchayat Development Officer of the concerned area or the Gram Panchayat will give it on its own level. After the recommendation of the village level selection committee, the final selection is done by the development block level committee and then it is sent to the Animal Husbandry Department. After selection, the beneficiary is provided the money through DBT within one to two months to buy a goat. The applicant’s Aadhaar card, bank account and caste certificate will have to be provided along with the proposal.

    Sheep rearing
    Benefits
    Self employment in sheep rearing is being provided by providing a unit (10 females and 1 male) for sheep rearing for 10 to 14 months.
    Out of the total cost of the scheme of Rs. 70,000.00, 90 percent of the amount i.e. Rs. 63,000.00 is being borne by the State Government and 10 percent of the amount i.e. Rs. 7,000.00 is to be borne by the beneficiary.

    Cow rearing
    Benefits
    Providing a milch cow up to the fourth age in the cow rearing scheme.
    Out of the total cost of the scheme Rs. 40,000.00, 90 percent of the amount Rs. 36,000.00 is being borne by the state government and 10 percent of the amount Rs. 4000.00 is to be borne by the beneficiary.
    Eligibility/Who will be the beneficiaries
    Interested beneficiaries of SECC category of Scheduled Castes and Tribes will be eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.

    In this scheme, the department provides the money through DBT at the time of purchasing the cow.

    Women Goat Rearing
    Benefits
    A unit of goats (03 female and 01 male) of 12 to 18 months is provided to eligible women.
    The full cost of the scheme Rs. 35,000.00 is being borne by the State Government.
    Eligibility/Beneficiaries
    Abandoned, widowed, destitute, living alone and disaster affected women will be eligible for the benefits of this scheme.

    The selection offer is made on **First Come First Serve** basis.
