Equine disease control and horse keeper training orientation program

On 11.03.25, an equine disease control and horse keeper training orientation program was organized in village Khaladi, development block Purola district Uttarkashi. This program was organized by Animal Husbandry Department Uttarakhand in collaboration with NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTER FOR EQUINE-ICAR Hisar.
In this program, along with horse treatment, blood samples and nasal swab samples were also collected for testing. Apart from this, information on horse maintenance and management was also given to the horse keepers.Dr. SC Joshi, Joint Director, Dr. Bishan Rana, Dr. Nitish Bisht, Shri Shrichand and President of Neelkanth Horse Welfare Committee, Shri Guru Prasad and Diwan Singh Rawat participated in the program.
During the program, 82 horses were tested and material was distributed to the horse owners. This program proved to be very useful for the horse owners and helped in solving their problems.
